How do I get a place on Noam Camp?
The first thing you need to do is apply! Fill in the online application form and send us your deposit cheque (not forgetting to put your unique reference number on the back) to apply for a place on Noam Camp.
Places on Camp are limited, so apply early to avoid disappointment. We have a priority system for applicants, with places allocated on the following basis:
Applicants are allocated places within each category on a first-come-first-served basis. The deadline for applications is 1st March 2010.
Shortly after the deadline, you will be notified by email if you have received a place. If so, you will be asked to fill in the online medical form and, if not, you will be placed on a waiting list.
What if I forget my password?
Don't worry, we'll send you a new one. Click on the "forgotten your password?" link underneath the login section of the front page. Enter your email address and we'll automatically send you a new password.
How do I sign the forms?
We're trying to cut down on paperwork this year. It wastes trees and gets lost in the post too easily. Because of this, signatures, like application forms, will be filled in online. Simply tick the correct boxes along the way and that's the online equivalent of a signature.
How do I know this data is secure?
Your applications and medical forms will only be looked at by Noam's professional staff and the senior youth leaders who run our summer camps. We take data protection and privacy issues very seriously. You can read our privacy policy here . The application system we use is tried and tested and used by many different companies and summer camps worldwide. It's called Quick Enrol.
What if I want to speak to a real person?
Give us a call at the Noam office. The best time to call is on a Tuesday or Thursday morning. You'll get through to our dedicated Noam Camp Administrator, Tracy. Call her on 0208 349 6650, extension 30. The rest of the working week (except Shabbat!), you can get in touch with the Noam movement workers. You can get our email addresses and direct lines from the 'contact us' page of the Noam website www.noam.org.uk.
How do I know you have received my information?
Our clever online application system will automatically send you an email when we receive your application and medical forms. We will also contact you by email to let you know if you have received a place or not. Make sure to set your junk mail filters accordingly.
What is the timeline for online applications?
Applications will open on 19th January and close on 1st March. At that stage, we will filter applications according to our priority system and email you to let you know if you have been accepted on camp or will be on the waiting list. Those who have been accepted will then be able to fill in the online medical forms. Final payment must be received by the 17th May in accordance with the Terms and Conditions.
How do you connect my cheque to my online application?
You will be given a unique reference number when you complete the online application form. Please write that number and the name of your child/ren on the back of your cheque. That allows us to connect cheques to your online application and enables us to keep track of who has paid. If you don't write the reference number on the back of the cheque, this may delay your application.
What happens if I want to withdraw my application?
It is not a problem to withdraw your application, we'd just be sorry to lose you! Give us a call in the office and we'll take care of it for you. How much money you will get back from us depends on when you withdraw:
Will I have to fill in all the forms next year as well?
No. It's great! Once you've entered all your details one year, we'll keep them securely on the system for the next year. All you have to do is look through the forms and make sure nothing's changed. We will also understand if you don't want us to keep hold of your details. Simply drop us a line and we'll take you off the system.
